Without further delay, here are our top 10 bacon filled recipes of 2012:
Everyone has a tough time in the kitchen some days, even our very own Chef Rob. He has a little trouble with his flat bread the first time around, but he did not let that stop him. He came back with a vengeance and the recipe came out beautifully, with 3 various flat bread combinations.
Chef Rob visited his childhood with this one, as this particular dish was the first time he had a taste of the delicious Lobster – once he had his first taste, there was no holding him back anymore. This baconized version of Lobster Bisque is definitely ideal for any day!
Tiramisu is won of our favourite desserts, and Chef Rob’s as well. There is nothing better than a homemade version of this classic dish, then again adding some bacon to it may be a way to make it even better!
We took a classic BLT and transformed it to a Lobster filled sandwich. This dish is far easier to make than you can imagine, and the addition of the Lobster Butter Aioli just brings the entire recipe together that you can share with your friends, or as we did, enjoyed it alone and let them know how it was.
Every time I take a look at this recipe, I am just impressed by what Chef Rob can do. He made butter great, by adding bacon. It takes some work (as you can expect) having to create your own butter, but in the end it is all worth it
This recipe was marked Easy by Chef Rob, and he wasn’t kidding. It was more prep involved that the actual cooking, and at the end of the day, there was a delicious meal on the table.
Cornbread has to be on of our favourite things to eat, and when we saw Chef Rob created a cornbread dish that incorporated bacon, we had no doubt it was going to be one of our best recipes.
We have yet to make this dish ourselves, but it is definitely on our list. Who wouldn’t want a pancake cake, filled with bacon and chocolate goodness?
It pretty much speaks for itself – you have a great dough, great sauce and of course even better bacon to throw on top of it. Can’t ask for much more J
French onion soup is always a great starter for us; when we realized that it can get even better with a bit of bacon, it was no doubt in our mind that Chef Rob’s recipe was going to be great. Don’t just take our word for it, make it at home and tell us about it!
